Well, I just recently found out that ‘Pimp My Ride’ would be returning to our television sets. And it will be a whole new season of pimping people’s cars. According to the news I found, part of the cars that would be worked on by the whole team would include a 1988 Cadillac Limo, a 1995 Mitsubishi Galant, as well as a 1976 ice cream truck.

Why Pickup Trucks?

pickup

People who do need a vehicle to assist them in their work often purchase pickup trucks. So why pickup trucks, you may ask? Personally, I think that pickup trucks are a great help. They can be used to transport various types of cargo like lumber and sacks of soil that you would not dare transport using your SUV or your sedan. These pickup trucks are also easy to maintain for their parts could be effortlessly purchased at stores like Auto Parts Inner. Pickup trucks also could be used to tow other vehicles and it could also be used to transport people.

What are the pickup trucks that are still being continually produced? There is quite a list and yes, you do have quite a range of choices if you are interested in purchasing a pickup truck for yourself.

Jaguar Goes For Safety Award

My friend and I were looking for new Acura wheels and Mercury carpets at Auto Parts Inner when we came across an article on my friend’s vehicle: a Jaguar.

Jaguar

The Jaguar brand has just most recently bagged the 2006 World Traffic Safety Symposium’s Traffic Safety Achievement Award. This award was actually given to the Jaguar XK for its pedestrian impact safety system. The award was all part of the mentioned symposium’s move towards recognizing those people and organizations who try their very best to create and facilitate a safer environment for motorist.

Chris Sams, the spokesperson for the said symposium, stated, “Jaguar deserves this honor for its commitment to pedestrian safety and for its innovation and technical excellence. The judges were particularly impressed by the far-reaching, comprehensive nature of the Jaguar system.”

Getting To Know Your Car’s Dashboard

What is a dashboard?

It is a panel that is found under the windscreen. It contains indicators and dials and gauges as well. This is where you would find the tachometer, the speedometer, the odometer and the fuel gauge. There are also other things found on the dashboard. Two of the most important things found here are the steering wheel and the instrument cluster. There are various types of dashboards.

For lawn mowers, farm tractors, and other automobiles like the previously mentioned one, the dashboards have more than just the steering wheel. They also contain the ignition switch.

A piece of sheet metal is what makes up the dashboard of coupe race cars that have been custom-built. If there is a need to put in a new gauge, a hole would have to be drilled. Then the gauge is screwed on.

There is no dashboard for open wheel race cars. So the gauges and the instruments are all mounted in the center of the steering wheel.

Dashboards can be actually customized. Sometimes, it is one of the most frequently customized parts of the car’s interior. For other ways of customizing the interior of your vehicle, you can try shopping for them at Auto Parts Inner. You can find Dodge mirrors, Volkswagen wheel covers, Ford billet grilles, and the like from this store.

A car is just like a child. It needs pampering and it needs a couple of essentials to keep it in good health and in a good mood. That is why it is good to have the essentials on hand so that if your car may act up, you would have these things ready.

For damaged parts, there are easy to find quality replacement parts like Chevy Astro parts and bumpers at online stores like Auto Parts Inner. However, these are just a few of what your vehicle needs. You see, your machine needs other things like fluids and other supplies. Here is a list of things that your vehicle may be needing sometime soon:

Keep Both Hands On The Wheel

Innovativeness is certainly one of the most common traits that people have. This is shown at the various types of inventions and creations that have come and invaded the automobile market.

One of these is the cellular phone hands free kit. It does not need you to take one of your hands off the steering wheel just to have a conversation with somebody on your mobile phone. This new thing has a speaker so you can hear what the party at the other end of the line is saying. It also has a noise reduction circuitry that provides a clearer sound. There also are specially crafted versions for the different cellular phone models.

You see, if you do take your hands off the wheel you could be encountering accidents. And you know what accidents could do. It could make you lose your life or other people’s lives. And it could also burn a hole in your pocket for you would have to pay for replacement parts that could get damaged in cases of crashes. However, if you are looking for replacement parts and body parts that are not inexpensive, you can try Auto Parts Inner.

A New Wave of Radios

I am quite happy with just my standard radio that could play a cassette tape, and some CDs as well. I could change radio stations easily just like I could change auto parts with great parts from Auto Parts Inner. However, there seems to be new breeds of radios coming out. And one of these is the satellite radio. That’s why I did some research on the topic.

Seems like the satellite radio is also known as subscription radio or SR. This is actually a digital radio and what it does is it receives signals that are broadcast by communication satellites. By communication satellites, it means that these satellite radios are able to get frequencies are further away compared to the common radio signals that we know of.

At present, there are many cars that offer this kind of radios as part of the whole package of the vehicle itself. However, one must have a subscription to companies who offer satellite radios so as to be able to use this.

Are You Safe Enough?

The Insurance Institute For Highway Safety (IIHS) is known for doing crash tests so as to see which vehicles are worth looking into when it comes to providing more than enough safety for its passengers during crashes or collisions.

According to the institute, it gives the crashworthiness of vehicles ratings like good, acceptable, marginal, or poor. These ratings are based on the vehicles’ performance in front, side, and rear impact tests. Those that earn the highest marks (good) receive the gold award for the IIHS’ Top Safety Picks for 2006. Those that receive high marks (acceptable) would be awarded the silver for the same list.

GOLD AWARDS –

* Ford Five Hundred
* Mercury Montego
* Honda Civic
* Saab 9-3
* Subaru Legacy

SILVER AWARDS –

* Audi A6
* Audi A3
* Audi A4
* BMW 3 Series
* Chevrolet Malibu
* Lexus IS
* Volkswagen Jetta
* Volkswagen Passat

Indeed, this is a good way so much so that consumers who are very much concerned about safety could be able to see which vehicles are worth looking into when it comes to finding the right car that would provide if not ample, but more than enough, safety for its passengers. Safety is also not just received through anti lock brakes, seat belts, and air bags. Keeping a vehicle’s parts in good condition also provides much help. If there are any worn out parts in your vehicle like fuel system parts, exhaust system parts, or the electrical system parts, one could find durable yet easy-on-the pocket auto parts at Auto Parts Inner.

Say Goodbye To Your Keys

Yes, you read that right.

Many automobile manufacturers are now trying to do away with the hassle of bringing keys, and yes forgetting them. After all, many of us oftentimes misplace our keys that come the time that we need them, we are unable to find them. And we also do sometimes forget them inside our cars. And yes, remember all those times that you had to try and scramble for your car keys inside your jeans pockets despite the fact that your hands were full of groceries.

Oh those eventful “key” moments.

Now, with new technology coming up with great innovations, many new cars are now coming up keyless. A car owner would just have to have a certain card or microchip in the key. And when that owner nears a car, sensors in the car read the signals sent off by the key. Voila! The doors unlock and there is no need to fumble for anything.

Also, another technology is that with just a touch of a button on the car’s dashboard, the engine can start. No need for keys there also.

What are the vehicles that already have this keyless systems? Well, you can try checking out the Cadillac STS, the Cadillac XLR, the Mercedes Benz S Class, the Mercedes Benz E Class, the Mercedes Benz SL Class, the Lexus LS 430, the Toyota Prius, the Toyota Avalon, and the Infiniti M, although these are just a few of the vehicles that have this kind of system.

The keyless system could be good for you and your vehicle as well, just like the durable and quality auto parts like Mazda wheels, Volkswagen hubcaps, Ford spoilers, and Lincoln headlights that could be found at Auto Parts Inner.

Make Your Car Look Brand New

So you think your vehicle is not that catchy enough? Does it not get enough stares and looks of awe? Do you yourself feel like you are driving a smaller version of a dump truck? Well, maybe it is time for you to do some sprucing up. Maybe it is now time for you, as owner of the vehicle, to do an extreme makeover.

By doing so, you actually could achieve two things. It is either you get to fall in love with your vehicle all over again that you decide to keep it. Or it could be somebody else falling in love with your vehicle that they want to buy it and own it themselves.

Consumer Reports has been giving auto owners and aficionados information regarding how to take care of vehicles and how to do some simple troubleshooting. This time around, this organization assists us in how to refurnish and restyle your car your way. There are no large fees to pay to professionals who would be doing the tinkering. The only thing you would have to spend on would be on replacement parts. Although I know a very good auto parts dealer, Auto Parts Inner. This store actually offers durable and quality parts yet at very affordable prices.

Give your car a total bath. A car that looks good definitely looks good. And giving your car a bath would make the beauty shine through, again. Who knows? Maybe it was all hidden behind all the dust and the mud. And also do clean your wheels. If there are any scratches that you may want to fix, go ahead.

Remove dents. You can do that yourself. There are already do-it-yourself kits available on the market. Do your car and yourself a favor. Do it yourself.

Fix Your Windows’ Glass. Even if it is just small, it actually mars the whole concept of having a good looking vehicle. You may have to spend some $50 to $60 dollars for small damages. But it is all worth it.

Go Through the Insides. The CSI way. They do go through every single detail. And just like them, go through your car’s interior. Clean the upholstery, the carpet, the vinyl, the leather, and all the other parts. Just make sure that you use the right cleansers or else it could only make your car look worse.

Clean the Machine. Do not be afraid to touch your engine. Even if it could be a hard task, do go right ahead. If you are planning on selling your vehicle, prospective buyers would like to see a car that looks maintained. And they could even be impressed to see a clean engine.
